EV Tax Credits Are Ending: What You Need to Know and What Comes Next

On August 12, the EC hosted a webinar to provide an overview of the changes to federal EV tax credits made by the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA) and other changes to the federal EV policy landscape, including the potential overturn of the greenhouse gas endangerment finding and updated National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program guidance.

Speakers highlighted policies and actions that advocates can take to maintain transportation electrification’s momentum at the local and state levels despite the lack of federal support. We were thrilled to be joined by experts Will Toor, Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office, and Chris Nevers, Rivian’s Senior Director of Public Policy, who provided insights into the changes’ impacts on both public and private entities.
