Freedom to Buy: Opening the Market for Electric Vehicle Sales in NC

Join the Electrification Coalition on September 12 at 10 a.m. ET to learn about the benefits of giving consumers and businesses the freedom to buy, and how policy changes will accelerate EV adoption in NC. The past year has increased consumer and business appetite for electric vehicles like never before. With the increase in gas prices, ever-increasing awareness of the savings of EVs and benefits, and new federal funding to build out charging infrastructure and purchase EVs – both for consumers and fleets – EV adoption in NC should be certain. However, there still remain barriers to greater EV adoption that is specific to North Carolina: the prohibition for manufacturers to sell EVs directly to consumers and businesses.
